PUBLIC REVIEW FOR NEW MOYNIHAN STATION

Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC) released an environmental scoping document outlining plans for the new transportation center and the private development that would accompany it. A public scoping session was held Thursday, Dec. 6th, 2007 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Farley Building, 380 West 33rd Street entrance, Room 4500; members of the public were invited to comment until Monday, Dec. 17th.

The Board released its response on Friday, December 14th.

These are the first steps in a public approval process that will include a General Project Plan and a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement. The City of New York must review elements of the project under its Uniform Land Use Review Procedure. A portion of the plan must be approved by the State Public Authorities Control Board. View the scoping document at the ESDC web site http://www.nylovesbiz.com/moynihanstation.
